The Children’s Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle is one of the world’s leading specialist centres for children and babies born with, or who develop, heart conditions. The unit is just one of two in the UK that has the
facilities and skills to offer paediatric transplant and bridge to transplant operations. As a result, the unit treats critically ill babies and children from across the UK.
By supporting the children and families, who receive treatment by the Children’s Heart Unit and by raising vital funds for large and small pieces of equipment, facilities, aftercare, specialist salaries and research, that is vital for the Children’s Heart Unit to continue their amazing success.
To make life better for children and young people who are born with or who develop heart conditions by providing lifelong support to them and their families.
